Who Doesn't Like Flowers?

When Lizzie is forbidden to plant flowers that is just one more heavy, illogical edict she lives with. Growing up on a farm I experienced the glory of nature every day. From traditional garden flowers to wild flowers growing in profuse abandon at edges of fields and woods. Each had their own unique beauty. White clover, pink clover and even tall Canadian thistles!  We can cheer Lizzie on as she decides not to view her world in black and white.
Embrace from the past those things you will keep.
Yet focus your eyes on the goals you seek.
Your journey will take you to places so new.
Look how you’ve managed, see how you grew!
It will all work out! When dreams become real,
And time provides life with a beautiful view.
