What joy to read the 2nd book of this 3 part series on Lizzie’s life! So much has happened. She experiences times of hope and inspiration amidst triumph and tragedy. A must read! I felt so happy that the author made these into 3 books because I knew I still had another one to read! I did not want this to be over. Many people in life can relate to Lizzie’s experiences that she faced during this period of time. It makes me think of God’s providence in our own lives. We can see His footprints throughout her story where He followed her, led her and even carried her, demonstrating God’s involvement in every aspect of her life, both good and bad. Reminiscent of Romans 8:28: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose.”
