These three books are very well written. Novel one portrays the Amish family family she grew up in in a truthful way that Lizzie was also true to herself and her feelings and emotions that she experienced as an intelligent young woman, considering all that she would lose and counting the cost.
Every chapter is a page turner to see what she will experience next. Through these crises of emotional turmoil she presses bravely on, is rewarded at times when she felt lost, when the circumstance would make an unexpected turn towards the path set before her. You can’t put the book down because her character and her integrity clash with the new world around her. Novel 3, Time to Keep the excitement and dread of what may be ahead of her. There are twists and turns one can feel her emotions so realistically that you are one with her on her journey. The culmination of living in grace and sheltered in joy brings an inspiring ending. It is so refreshing to find a book that brings faith and a forgiving attitude in today’s world!!

Finished book 1 and 2 of the 3 part series! Became sad that I was coming to the end of Lizzie’s journey. This book takes us through a journey where lessons have been learned such as humility, patience and forgiveness If we are seeking and watching we see how God sends us truth, joy and salvation in unexpected ways…ways we don’t always see coming. When I finished this book I found myself longing to see it played out in a movie. I felt like I was now going to miss Lizzie as I became really connected to her. I Love, love, love all the characters in these books. In my personal description, this 3 part series starts with Hope lost, then Hope found, then Hope fulfilled. The books take us through all the twist and turns of life. I look forward to more of Arlene Katie Wood’s future books.
