I really enjoyed reading Time to Lose and “getting involved” in young Lizzie’s life. Her hopes, fears, struggles and other highs and lows of her life were most realistic compounded by her upbringing in the Amish community. I found the Amish practices most interesting, yet the author treated this most respectfully.
I couldn’t wait to continue Lizzie’s journey in Time to Grow and to finish her story in Time to Keep. I highly recommend this series of books.

  2. Enjoyable Read

Enjoyed following Lizzy through all her trials and determination to better herself. The author’s insights into the Amish culture were fascinating yet respectful. I found myself absorbed in the books…had to start book two right away. Highly recommend this series!

I IMMEDIATELY fell in love with Lizzie’s character! I believe anyone that reads this book can relate to Lizzie and the emotions and difficult choices she had to make while growing up. I felt a close connection to her and everyday I looked forward to reading about her journey as she navigated through life. You can tell the author really connected with the characters and understood everything she wrote about, it made me wonder if it was her own life. This book is like others I have read that are fiction, but based on historical facts, like author Francine Rivers, who used historical facts and built a story around them. Beautiful story and could not just stop in this first book in the series…must read the second and third too!
